No, No, No, No.
I can still hear my Granny lecturing me for hours out of the bible about how thou shalt not steal, when I was 8. And that was only .50. I can't even imagine how long it would be for a million bucks. Since she has passed on, it could be an eternity

Today was my D-Day ... I beat the odds!
by Amazing inlast year on july 15th, 2002, my cardiologist gave me less than a year to live.
with the 14 remaining blocked arteries, there was not much hope.
even a by-pass would only correct 3 or 4 arteries and give me a slight lease on life.

Intellectually Lazy
by berylblue inanyone else here care to admit they would rather let others do the difficult research for them?
once in the psycho hospital, we played a "game".
(keep in mind that games in such settings were either only a means to keep us from killing ourselves or the other inmates between smoke breaks, or to assist us in gaining insight into our natures (this was never the case except in the following instance.).

I also feel my brain is lazy when it comes to figuring something out. I have the hardest time trying to focus and make my brain go in one direction. Sentence math problems just sieze my brain up.
I know how I feel, and what I think, but would be hard pressed to state why. I am a logical thinker tho and see possible outcomes by certain actions. I also do very well in figuring out solutions for things that need to be done faster or easier and have a vast array of useless tid bits of knowledge. I to am in awe of some of the posters here who can state the facts with such clarity so everyone can understand, even us intellectually challenged.
I generally do very well in anything I try, I just am so afraid to fail I just don't try.

What's Fair About This??
by worldlygirl ini've asked my husband about this many times, and he always manages to skirt the issue.
here is the point i try to get across to him: .
first of all, you have to agree that god is fundamentally fair (he agrees with me on this point.

I asked this very question to my Granny many years ago who raised me as a witness. This is the logic that told me for sure that this was not the God I wanted to love. (I later went on the next year to get baptised so I could get married in the KH, the only reason)
I spent my last year of High School living with my exhusbands grandmother in the evenings so I could go to a certain H.S. because I lived just outside the school district. This woman was the sweetest, kindest most gentle person I had ever met. She was a devout Methodist. No drinking, smoking, dancing or anything else deemed ungodly by her church. She taught sunday school for 50 years, raised all 8 of her kids to be loving, God fearing upstanding people. I told my Granny that there was no way in my mind that God could kill someone who devoted her life to him, just because she was not a JW. Nope did'nt make a bit of sence to me. I knew then I had a differant God then my Granny did. This lady loved her God with every fiber of her soul, had all her life. I did'nt love my God like that! and I would live and she would not. Nope, did'nt add up.

Are you a special case?
by JH inwhatever you do, are you always the exception to the rule?
does it ever happen that you see a doctor and he can't understand your problem, that you are a unique case that he never seen before?
or if you go to the garage with your car, and have a problem that no one ever had?.

I'm probably normal when it comes to things going wrong in life, but when it comes to a missing or broken part in something I just bought?..............I ALWAYS get that box.

Have any of you been a victim of a Break in?
by Uzzah ini guess i must have led a charmed life until now, but over the weekend someone broke into my home.
it isn't so much that they took stuff (slr camera, cell phone that belonged to a volunteer disaster services team, and cash) but that someone was in my private space without my knowledge.
it is amazing the head games such an event plays on you.

So sorry to hear that UZ.
I have had my car broke into a couple times. This last time a month ago. They busted out the passenger side window and stole my steareo. I was lucky they just unpluged it and didn't cut any of the wires. The cop said that late teen kids will ride up and down the street on bikes and go real slow looking into the cars casing them, then come back later at night to do the job. It is very violating. It cost my insurance $325 to replace the window and I still have glass everywhere. I go out with duct tape and get all the slivers out. I just think "What goes around comes around" or it would drive me crazy, I'm very territorial.
